Spode Porcelain, Dollar Pattern
This picture shows the dollar pattern as it appears on a cup and saucer made by Spode in around 1810-1830. I have always been fascinated by this pattern, and over the last few years I have been looking at the possible origins of the design. My article, presented on the next few pages, is the result.
